The Lord’s Plans: Pray With Me
Pray with me today, knowing that the Lord hears you and will answer.
Here are the Scripture references for this prayer: Psalm 8:4; Psalm 33:9, 11, 15, 20-21; 1 Peter 4:9-11; Exodus 25:1-8 and 31:1-11; 1 Chronicles 28:11-13; Psalm 20:4; Proverbs 15:22; Proverbs 20:18; 2 Corinthians 1:16-18; Habakkuk 2:2
Lord, you above all know how to establish well-made plans. You are the Creator of the heavens and the earth. You spoke and it came to be; you commanded and it stood firm. Everything you have made is intricate and marked by your majesty. I am your creation. You formed my heart and consider all I do. You care for me and call me to be a good steward of the gifts you have given me. Let your name be glorified through my life.
As you gave Moses all the plans for building the Tabernacle and provided all that was needed to begin the work, and the skilled workers to carry out those plans, please also show me and send all kinds of help for what you want to do in my life. Establish your plans in my life. Please be specific and speak to me in a way that I will understand you clearly. As David passed on the plans for the Temple to Solomon, please help me to know how to communicate what your plans are to others. And help me to know if I am to pass on anything to someone else to do or establish, and to be obedient in this.
Please bless all my desires that are in keeping with your will for my life. I want to see your kingdom come on earth. Your plans stand firm forever, through all generations. Let your plans for my life stand firm and be a lasting blessing.
Show me who to talk, Lord because plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisors they succeed. Give me wisdom in this, in who to go to for guidance and in my decision making. Please give me the courage to let my “yes” be “yes” and my “no,” “no.” Help me to make my intentions clear so that I am not tempted to be fickle.
I trust you as my help. I wait to hear from you in hope. When you speak to me, I ask you to help me to write down what you say in plain language so that I and anyone who reads it will be able to know how to move forward.
I give you my body and all my life to do as you desire. Thank you for your unfailing love for me and for hearing my prayer today.
Amen.
