Makeshift
I thought I would need to purchase equipment to start a podcast. When I researched what to do and what I needed, it always felt like a not yet project. From the set-up cost which includes equipment and the right space, marketing and best practice models, I was never ready.
One day, though, I just put aside all that I didn’t have and used what I did: my phone, computer and based on this picture, lamp light (because I have to get up while my kids are asleep). I came up with a simple name and let go of trying to be extra creative, registered the podcast on Anchor FM and uploaded the audio file. Anchor FM has some transitions to drag and drop. I chose one, pressed SAVE and voila! I had my first podcast.
There’s more I want to share about how I go about doing this, but for now I want to encourage you to start with what you have at your disposal—not just for podcasting, but for anything you’ve desired to do and keep putting off because you don’t have this and that. Just start and everyday, add a little more.
